iBCAA’s – What you need to know!

The health and nutrition market is huge and brings in millions of pounds every year. There is a massive amount of supplements out there and it’s hard to know what works and what doesn’t. These vary from pre-workouts, protein powders, creatine and many more.
I have been using various brands of protein supplements for years. I’m a bit of a brand slut, so have tried a lot of different ones! A lot of people like to consume their protein from food only, but if you are trying to gain muscle you need quite a high level of protein, which I found hard to consume without protein shakes. I try and eat at least 140g of protein a day, so as you can imagine this can be quite a challenge to get alone from food.There are so many different types out there now, including vegan options which is great! The flavours are also sooo varied. Most recently I have switched to Protein World their brand really appealed to me and their values and ethos seemed right up my street. They often have promotions and really make you feel valued as a customer, so if you haven’t try them out!

As you’re probably aware, I’m a complete gym rat and all over health and fitness lover. I’m also such a sucker for anything new. It’s one of my flaws (I don’t have many! LOL)I had heard a lot about iBCAA’s, but didn’t really understand a lot about them. I have used pre-workout on and off, however I limited the amount of times I took it, as I found it was quite addictive. You crave that crazy pump every time you go to the gym. It also use to make my face tingle which feels super weird. Anyway….so I decided to do some research on iBCAA’s and share it with all you beauties. Instant Branched Chain Amino Acids (iBCAA) are an instant form of BCAAs. It is split into a 2:1:1 ratio between Leucine : Isoleucine : Valine. Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine are essential amino acids. As the body isn’t able to produce them, it means they must be consumed through food or supplements.Here are a few benefits;
Optimum ratio 2:1:1 (L-Leucine: L-Isoleucine: L-Valine)Protein World
IBCAA’s combined with Glutamine can create the optimum muscle preserving combination
IBCAAs reduce the amount of Protein breakdown & enhance Muscle Protein Synthesis
Can promote energy levels by reducing body glycogen usage
IBCAAs reduce muscle soreness and DOMS
Can help prevent muscle loss and wastage
Supports an ‘anabolic’ state when exercising
BCAAs make up for around 35% of all muscle tissue. When BCAAs are present in high quantities in the muscle, there is more energy available to be used. It is recommend taking BCAAs before, during and post training as they prevent the breakdown of muscle cells and tissues which helps prevent muscle loss. BCAAs help build lean tissue and stop catabolism. Branched Chain amino acids are a term used to describe 3 essential building blocks the body uses for growing, repairing or maintaining muscle mass. Now after reading all that, I thought wow why have I only just learnt about these! So I grabbed myself a tub from  . I have the summer fruits flavour and it’s actually quite refreshing and yummy. I normally start sipping it on the way to gym and then throughout my workout. I usually top it up with water during also. I really have noticed that it keeps me going for longer in the gym without having that crazy pre workout feeling. I also have noticed that I get a lot less DOMS!
They are also great for fasted cardio!
Now I’ve only been using them for around 3 weeks, but I’m pleased with the results so far. I can’t wait to see my progress in 6 months!!!So my verdict is, if you want to really change your body, sculpt and grow that peacchhh!! Then iBCAA’s is defo something you should try!!With love from JadeXxX
