The health and nutrition market is huge and brings in millions of pounds every year. There is a massive amount of supplements out there and it’s hard to know what works and what doesn’t. These vary from pre-workouts, protein powders, creatine and many more.
I have been using various brands of protein supplements for years. I’m a bit of a brand slut, so have tried a lot of different ones! A lot of people like to consume their protein from food only, but if you are trying to gain muscle you need quite a high level of protein, which I found hard to consume without protein shakes. I try and eat at least 140g of protein a day, so as you can imagine this can be quite a challenge to get alone from food.There are so many different types out there now, including vegan options which is great! The flavours are also sooo varied. Most recently I have switched to Protein World their brand really appealed to me and their values and ethos seemed right up my street. As you’re probably aware, I’m a complete gym rat and all over health and fitness lover. I’m also such a sucker for anything new. It’s one of my flaws (I don’t have many! LOL)I had heard a lot about iBCAA’s, but didn’t really understand a lot about them. I normally start sipping it on the way to gym and then throughout my workout. I usually top it up with water during also. I really have noticed that it keeps me going for longer in the gym without having that crazy pre workout feeling. I also have noticed that I get a lot less DOMS!
