I haven’t been blogging as much lately and I’m actually missing it. With work, Josh and being really tired from this pregnancy I haven’t had the time but I’m going to try and make more of an effort!!
So I am 18 weeks, all is well so far! The morning sickness is pretty much gone, however I have now developed car sickness which is always fun 😒 so I have had to limit long car journeys as a passenger!! The human body is so strange. My bump is growing at the speed of light. I was looking back at photos of myself during my first pregnancy and I am definitely a lot bigger, but I love having a bump so I’m embracing it. I’ve also felt the baby move a few times which is such a lovely feeling 😍😍
Current weight….well the last time I weighed myself I was 67kg however that was a few weeks ago so I’ll weigh myself again maybe next week or maybe not 😂 I have been trying to make a conscious effort to eat less rubbish but to be honest I’m finding it quite hard!
I have been doing a bit more exercise, the last couple of weeks I’ve managed 2/3 gym sessions a week in, which is hardly anything compared to pre pregnancy but a lot compared to my first trimester so I’m taking the win!!
I had my 16 week midwife appointment last week, all was well. I forgot how lovely it is to listen to the baby’s heartbeat. My midwife was fabulous….hopefully I’ll see her again!!
I have decided to have my baby in the midwife led birthing centre at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital which is only a few years old and beautiful!! It’s literally like a spa. They believe in empowering women to have the childbirth they want! I actually booked to have Joshua there too, but after a long labour without much progress I had to have my waters broken and have Pitocin which meant I had to go to the delivery ward. If at first you don’t succeed try again.
I also made the decision to have Hypnobirthing so I have booked my classes to start when I am 22 weeks. I will talk about that further when I start in another post 🙂
And the rest…
Joshua, my best friend (Joshua’s godmother) and I recently went to Ireland to visit some family. I have never actually been to Ireland despite it being down the road basically. We had a lovely weekend full of food, beautiful scenery, laughter and rain of course. The people were so friendly and I would 100% go back. It was nice to have relaxing weekend away from the hustle bustle of London and breath some actual fresh air!!
