Last Monday I attended the fabulous Pitcher & Paint art class, which is run by Albi & Ife and held at Silk & Grain in Bank.
Pitcher & Paint is a new fun and relaxing art class, it suits anyone from mini Picasso’s to complete newbies who only draw stick men (yes thats me :)) The venue – Silk & Grain is a gorgeous wine bar set in the heart of the city!
Albi and Ife are both friendly charming young characters with a passion for art!
Pitcher & Paint has been running for two classes now, the previous being on watercolours and this class being focused on pencil & charcoal.
This class is great if you are looking for something different to do one evening in London and if you really want to release your inner artist!
Now I cannot draw, let me reiterate…I cannot draw! So I was a little bit apprehensive about the class, these fears were quickly forgotten. Albi & Ife started from the beginning showing us basic skills that even I could master. They are both so patient and have a real flare for teaching. You can tell they truly enjoy it!
Once we had mastered a few basic shading skills, we moved on to our final piece. Wine, friends & art….a gorgeous combo.
We all sat around the table working on our masterpieces, chatting, drinking and admiring each others work. Albi & Ife were always on hand to help us and give words of encouragement.
By the end of the evening everyone looked pleased with their art work and there was even a little competition at the end. No…I didn’t win! Shock horror I know! Lol
If you are looking for a creative evening filled with art, drink, nibbles, good conversation and good people then this is an event you should not miss. I will 100% be going to the next Pitcher & Paint
